Everyone Counts!

In class, we read a story by Kathryn Otoshi titled "One." In this story, the Blue dot gets bullied by the Red dot. None of the other coloured dots stand up to Red and so Red grows bigger and bigger! Until one day, 1 comes along and he stands up for Blue. All the other coloured dots join together to stand up for Blue as well! The story is about how one person can make a difference and how everyone counts and everyone is special! This story inspired our students to make dots of their own. Everyone decorated a dot and one of their friends chose to write a secret message about them! Everyone is still trying to figure out which of their friends wrote a special message to them!
